Business operations suite versus client-to-cash record

NoxOrigin vs Scoro: a professional services suite, or an Indian client record

Scoro is a mature business operations platform built for service firms, and in resource planning, time economics, and multi-currency billing it is the stronger product. NoxOrigin is a commercial operating record for Indian businesses: the opportunity, the agreed scope, the work, the invoice, the payment, and the balance all sit on one customer record. This page does not conclude that one of them wins.

NoxOrigin makes one of the products compared in this article. We describe NoxOrigin from our own shipped product and published pricing. We have not run a Scoro trial, so every Scoro statement on this page is read from Scoro’s own published pages, not from hands-on use, and we make no claim about how Scoro feels to work in. Currency handling: Scoro publishes in euros, US dollars, pounds, Australian dollars, and Canadian dollars. It publishes no Indian rupee price, and we do not convert one, estimate one, or rank the two products on converted cost. Last verified: 4 October 2026.

Evidence and method

What we tested, and what we only read

What we tested

NoxOrigin only. We use it daily, so our description of companies, leads, opportunities, quotes, projects, GST invoicing, UPI capture, receivables, and project economics is drawn from the product we ship. NoxOrigin is a young product with a small number of live deployments, and we say so wherever that matters to a buyer.

What we source-verified

Scoro’s public plans and pricing page, which is the only Scoro source we used. That covers the app structure, the per-user figures, the trial and minimum-seat terms, the onboarding tier names, and the published feature lists. We did not read Scoro’s product documentation, we did not verify anything about its support responsiveness, and we quote no review scores, funding figures, or customer counts for either product.

Dimension by dimension

What each product actually covers

These two products were built for different jobs in professional services, so several rows below are genuinely different rather than one product being better. Where Scoro is deeper, we say so plainly.

What the product is forA commercial operating record for Indian businesses: companies, contacts, leads, opportunities, projects, quotes, invoices, payments, and receivables, with the profitability of each engagement visible against the customer who bought it.A modular business operations platform for service-based firms, built from eight apps that interlink. Its own page describes it as made for professional services businesses, with consultancy, agency, architecture, engineering, and software development named as industries.
Pricing modelPublished INR plans for the platform: Starter INR 800 per month for three users in one workspace, Growth INR 1,600 per month for ten users, and Agency INR 5,000 per month for twenty-five users across three workspaces, with annual billing at INR 8,000, INR 15,000, and INR 48,000. NoxCRM, Nox-Billings, and Nox-Tickets are scoped custom deployments and carry no list price.Per user per month, built from the apps you choose. Combinations start from EUR 15, US$17, GBP 13, A$24.50, or C$24. Published combinations: Time-billing EUR 15, Projects & Resources EUR 25, Quote to Cash EUR 25, End-to-end EUR 52, each with USD, GBP, AUD, and CAD figures published alongside.
Currency for an Indian buyerRupees, published on our own pricing page, with annual totals and add-on rates for extra users and workspaces.Euros, US dollars, pounds, Australian dollars, and Canadian dollars. No INR figure is published, and your actual cost depends on your billing entity, tax treatment, and payment terms. We assert no conversion.
Minimum commitmentThree users on the smallest plan. No seat floor is published beyond the plan limits.A minimum of five user seats for all combinations, with a free 14-day trial and no credit card required.
CRM and pipelineCompanies, contacts, leads, opportunities, ownership, pipeline stages, dated next actions, and shared customer conversations in the Inbox. Multiple sales processes from Growth upward.A published CRM and Pipeline Management app covering client and contact management, price proposals and templates, deal tracking, pipeline management, and sales reports.
Quoting and estimatingQuotes raised against the client and project and converted to an invoice without re-keying. A scope change is handled as a new quote attached to the same project, not as an in-product change-request or contract record.A published Estimate app for estimating and budgeting, with quote and budget builder, an estimation matrix, quote templates, and cost and margin planning. The Quote to Cash combination is packaged for this.
Project and delivery depthProjects, tasks, task lists, assignments, and recurring follow-ups, scoped to work attached to a client and opportunity. There is no milestone record and no deliverable record in the product.A dedicated Deliver project management app with tasks and task lists, subtasks, recurring tasks, task bundles, Kanban board, smart inbox, calendars, project templates, retainer management, Gantt chart and dependencies, a multiple-project timeline, and phases and milestones. This is the clearest area where Scoro is deeper.
Time tracking and costNot provided. NoxOrigin has no timesheet record and no payroll module, and does not time staff automatically. Cost is understood through project economics rather than captured time.A real strength. Published features include Time tracker, Timesheets, Billable time, Labor cost, and Work reports, with a Track Time & Cost app and a Resource app adding capacity and balance workload, availability indicators, time-off reporting, utilization reporting, and team performance reporting.
Margin, WIP, and revenue recognitionProject economics and client profitability per engagement, plus margin on quoted versus billed work. Revenue recognition and WIP reporting are not NoxOrigin features.Published WIP report, quoted versus actuals, project budget health charts, revenue forecasting and recognition, revenue report, advanced reporting, and approval of financial documents.
Invoicing and collectionsQuotes convert to invoices, UPI payment capture with the transaction reference recorded, payment reports split across cash, UPI, card, and credit, payment promises, receivables, and Razorpay payment links from Growth upward.A published Invoice app for client billing covering invoice generation, receipt tracking, prepayment invoices, scheduled invoices, credit notes, recurring billing, invoice reminders, a margin report, and a detailed financial report.
Indian GST invoicingGST invoices with automatic CGST and SGST splits for intra-state sales and IGST for inter-state, HSN and SAC fields, B2B invoices carrying a GSTIN, and GST-wise tax reports.Nothing on the pricing page references GST, CGST, SGST, IGST, or GSTIN. The page does state that tax rate, discount, due date, overdue interest, currency, payment terms, price list, and language can be set automatically by customer type. Confirm Indian tax behaviour with Scoro directly.
Indian statutory filingNot provided, and we will not imply otherwise. We produce invoices and tax reports for review. We do not file GST returns, TDS, or any return for you, and we do not file to the Indian e-invoice portal. The pricing page states nothing about Indian statutory filing, e-invoicing, or e-way bills. We publish no claim for Scoro here because the source page makes none.
Multi-currency billingIndian operations in rupees. We do not claim a multi-currency billing engine, and a firm billing in several currencies should verify that with us before relying on it.Multiple currencies is a published feature, which is a real advantage for a firm invoicing across the UK, Europe, the US, Australia, or Canada.
Expenses and purchasingExpense tracking is in Nox-Billings, and purchasing lives in a separate Commerce product. Neither is part of the platform plan comparison above, and both are scoped deployments.A published Spend app for bill and expense management is included in the app structure, and the Spend Bill & Expense Management app is listed among the eight.
Stock, counter, and inventoryCommerce area: catalog, stock, warehouses, purchasing, promotions, point-of-sale billing, and a day-end review reconciling expected cash, counted cash, payment mix, discounts, and variance. Day-end close and reconciliation are assisted-setup maturity rather than self-serve, and we would rather say that than imply a switch is enough. Not part of the professional services app structure described on the pricing page. A firm that sells stock needs a separate system.
Support and onboardingDirect support from the NoxOrigin team. Dedicated and customer-branded deployments are scoped quotes, and day-end close and reconciliation are set up with assistance rather than turned on by a switch. The pricing page names four onboarding tiers: Self-Onboarding, Assisted, Professional, and Premier, with the Assisted tier described as including up to five one-hour sessions and five hours of email consultations. We could not read the price or capacity band attached to each tier, so we publish none.
Maturity and scaleA young product with few live deployments. If your buying criteria include a long public operating history, that is a real mark against us. See our current product status. An established platform with a large published feature surface, a published AI assistant, and integrations including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Stripe, Jira, and Google Calendar. We publish no customer count, funding figure, or review score for Scoro, because we did not verify any.
Where Scoro is the better buy

Delivery depth and resource economics

If your firm sells hours, capacity, or delivery confidence, Scoro is the stronger buy and we say so without hedging. It records time and labor cost, reports utilization, plans capacity against a pipeline, and carries Gantt charts, dependencies, phases, and milestones at a depth NoxOrigin does not attempt.

Scoro is also the better buy for a firm invoicing in more than one currency, for a firm that needs WIP reporting and revenue recognition, and for a firm that has standardised on an overseas accounting package, since Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage Intacct are published integrations.

And Scoro is the better buy for a services firm that is not in India at all. Nothing in NoxOrigin’s advantage on GST invoicing or UPI collection helps a London or Dublin consultancy.

Where NoxOrigin is the better buy

The Indian client-to-cash chain

NoxOrigin is the better buy when the operational problem is the customer record rather than the project record. The customer who created the opportunity is the same customer attached to the agreed scope, the work, the invoice, the payment, the outstanding balance, and the profitability of that engagement. That chain is what lets you ask which clients owe money on work currently in progress and get an answer.

It is the better buy when the commercial paper is Indian: a GST invoice with the correct CGST and SGST split for an intra-state sale or IGST for an inter-state one, a GSTIN on a B2B invoice, UPI collection with the transaction reference recorded against the invoice, and a receipt for payment that is a record rather than a promise.

It is also the better buy on published cost for a small Indian team, and it is the better buy when you want one vendor in your own timezone and your own currency. The trade is honest: you give up timesheets, milestone records, capacity planning, and revenue recognition, and we do not pretend those are small things. See the NoxOrigin plans in INR.

In India

The India-specific version of this decision

Strip away the feature lists and the India question is mostly about three things: what currency the subscription is quoted in, whether the invoice your customer needs is a compliant GST invoice, and whether the money comes back over a method your customer actually uses.

Currency and cost exposure

Scoro publishes five currencies on its pricing page and no rupee figure. For an Indian buyer that means a currency position, a vendor contract to determine, and GST on the imported invoice, none of which we can estimate for you. NoxOrigin publishes rupees, including annual totals and add-on rates. We are not claiming this makes NoxOrigin cheaper. We are saying only that one of the two numbers is knowable before you sign anything.

Statutory invoicing

Scoro’s pricing page says nothing about GST, CGST, SGST, IGST, GSTIN, Indian e-invoicing, or e-way bills. If Indian statutory invoicing is a requirement, that silence is a question for Scoro, not an answer. NoxOrigin generates GST invoices with the right split, B2B invoices with a GSTIN, and GST-wise tax reports.

The filing line we will not cross

Neither product files your returns. NoxOrigin does not file GST returns or TDS and we will not imply that a tax report is a filed return. On the Scoro side, we read no filing claim on the source page, so we publish none. If statutory filing is the deciding requirement, this is not the comparison that decides it. Read the GST billing software versus ERP comparison instead, and keep your accountant in charge of filing.

Collection in the way Indians actually get paid

UPI is how a large share of Indian business invoices are settled. NoxOrigin captures a UPI payment against the invoice with the transaction reference stored, and reports collections split across cash, UPI, card, and credit, with payment promises for the ones that are late. Scoro publishes invoice reminders and receipt tracking, which help, but we read no UPI-specific capture on the source page and publish no claim for it.

Who should choose which

Match the product to the buyer situation

A thirty-person consultancy already running Scoro

If utilization reporting, WIP, and capacity planning are working and your invoices are compliant, the trigger to leave is not a feature list. It is a collections problem. Scoro invoice reminders do not tell you which client is losing money on the engagement you are currently delivering.

An Indian services firm billing a mix of retainers and projects

GST invoices, a GSTIN on business invoices, and UPI collection against the invoice are the deciding requirements, and the same client record has to carry the quote, the delivery, and the outstanding balance. That is the NoxOrigin case, and the absence of timesheets is the price of it.

A firm that bills by the hour and pays on recorded time

Buy Scoro. Timesheets, billable time, labor cost, and utilization reporting are the product, and NoxOrigin does not attempt them. Do not choose an operating record and then build a timesheet system beside it.

A four-person consultancy that is not in India

Scoro’s published minimum is five user seats for all combinations, which is a real floor for a very small firm, and no part of Scoro’s advantage requires an Indian context. Size the seat count and the combination before you compare anything else.

A firm that needs revenue recognition and multi-currency billing

Scoro publishes WIP reporting, revenue forecasting and recognition, and multiple currencies. NoxOrigin has neither. If you bill in euros or dollars to overseas clients, read the Scoro column as the stronger position.

A firm whose requirement is statutory filing

Neither product satisfies it on the evidence published here. NoxOrigin does not file returns, and we read no filing claim for Scoro. Keep an accounting package and a competent CA in that seat, and use whichever billing tool your accountant already accepts.

Switching

Migration and switching considerations

We have not migrated a customer away from Scoro, so this is a description of the work rather than a case study with outcomes.

Decide what you are actually moving

If Scoro is doing delivery and resource planning well, the realistic first step is to move the commercial chain rather than the whole suite: leads, open opportunities, quotes, unpaid invoices, and the customer master. Delivery depth is exactly what you would be giving up.

Decide the master record once, in writing

Two systems both claiming authority over the same client is the most common cause of duplicate invoices and duplicated follow-ups. Agree which system owns the customer list and which owns the invoice number before the first import, and write it down where the team can find it.

Expect the time and cost data to be the hard part

Scoro holds timesheets and labor cost. NoxOrigin has no timesheet record, so historic time and cost data does not land anywhere useful, and any profitability history that depended on captured time stops being comparable. Decide whether you need that history before you migrate rather than after.

Plan for the recurring export, not just the cutover

If Scoro keeps the project record, something has to move data on a schedule. Agree the export format, the frequency, and the person who reconciles it. Automations do not carry over between systems and have to be rewritten against the new triggers rather than assumed to follow. .

FAQ

Questions buyers ask us first

How much does Scoro cost?

Scoro no longer sells a small number of fixed tiers. Its pricing page describes a modular model built from eight apps, and states that combinations start from EUR 15, US$17, GBP 13, A$24.50, or C$24 per user per month. Four named combinations are published: Time-billing at EUR 15, Projects and Resources at EUR 25, Quote to Cash at EUR 25, and End-to-end at EUR 52 per user per month, with the US dollar, pound, Australian dollar, and Canadian dollar figures published alongside each. The page also states a free 14-day trial with no credit card required and a minimum of five user seats. Scoro does not publish an Indian rupee price, and we do not convert one for you.

Does Scoro handle Indian GST invoicing?

We could not find any evidence of it. Scoro's pricing page lists multiple currencies, automatic tax-rate setting by customer type, and credit notes, but the page contains no reference to GST, CGST, SGST, IGST, GSTIN, Indian e-invoicing, or e-way bills. That is what the page says, not a judgement about what Scoro could do with the right configuration. If Indian statutory invoicing is a requirement, put that question to Scoro directly and do not accept a currency list as an answer. NoxOrigin generates GST invoices with automatic CGST and SGST splits for intra-state sales and IGST for inter-state, B2B invoices with GSTIN fields, and GST-wise tax reports. We do not file GST returns.

Does Scoro have time tracking, and does that matter?

Scoro has time tracking and it is a real strength, not a footnote. Its published feature lists include Time tracker, Timesheets, Billable time, Labor cost, and Work reports, and its Resource app adds capacity planning, availability indicators, time-off reporting, utilization reporting, and team performance reporting. If you bill by the hour, capture utilization, or pay people on recorded time, Scoro is doing something NoxOrigin does not do. We have no timesheet record and no payroll module, and we do not imply that NoxOrigin times your staff automatically.

Is Scoro cheaper or more expensive than NoxOrigin?

We are not going to convert this into a single number, because the honest inputs do not reduce to one. Scoro's price depends on which combination of apps you choose, is quoted per user per month, and is published in euros, US dollars, pounds, Australian dollars, and Canadian dollars with no rupee figure. It also has a five-seat minimum, which sets a floor for a very small firm. NoxOrigin publishes rupees on our own pricing page: Starter at INR 800 per month for three users, Growth at INR 1,600 per month for ten users, and Agency at INR 5,000 per month for twenty-five users across three workspaces. Run both quotes in your own currency before you compare them.

Is NoxOrigin a replacement for Scoro in a professional services firm?

No, and we would be misleading you if we claimed otherwise. Scoro is a mature business operations platform built specifically for service-based firms, and its published surface is deep where professional services work is hardest: resource capacity planning, WIP reporting, revenue forecasting and recognition, Gantt charts and dependencies, phases and milestones, and approval of financial documents. NoxOrigin does not have a milestone record, a timesheet record, a contract editor, or an e-signature. Choose Scoro when delivery depth and resource economics are the problem. Choose NoxOrigin when the problem is that the customer who created the opportunity is not the customer attached to the agreed scope, the work, the invoice, the payment, the outstanding balance, and the profitability.

Can Scoro and NoxOrigin run side by side?

Yes, and for a firm that has already invested in Scoro it is often the right answer rather than a compromise. The rule that makes it work is deciding in writing which system owns the customer master record and which owns the invoice number, so the same client never gets two competing histories. Expect a periodic export or handoff between them, and name the person who owns that step. We have not migrated a customer away from Scoro, so our migration notes describe the work rather than a case study with outcomes.

What we read, and what we could not

Read on 4 October 2026. Scoro publishes in euros, US dollars, pounds, Australian dollars, and Canadian dollars, so we do not convert, estimate, or compare your INR cost for either product. Two things we deliberately publish no figure for: the price attached to each Scoro onboarding tier, and any Indian rupee price from Scoro at all.

The Assisted tier is described as including self-onboarding guides, video tutorials, product tours, up to five one-hour question-and-answer sessions, and five hours of email consultations. The price attached to each onboarding tier, and the capacity band printed beside each tier name, were not laid out in a form we could read reliably, so this page publishes no onboarding price for Scoro.
