How this is calculated: open value = deals × average deal value for each stage, expected value = open value × close probability, and the pipeline total is the sum of the expected values. The count-weighted probability treats every deal as equal, while the value-weighted probability lets the big deals count for more — so one large deal sitting at a low probability pulls the value-weighted figure below the count-weighted one, and that gap is the difference between a good month on paper and the deals actually in the room. Every close probability entered here is the reader’s own assumption about their own pipeline rather than a benchmark, so a weighted pipeline is only ever as honest as the close rates behind it.
Need a pipeline that updates itself?
NoxOrigin keeps deals, follow-ups, and won revenue in one place, so a stage is a real record rather than a row you re-typed at the end of the month — and closed deals become invoices without a second entry.
